The Forgotten Island
A tsunami has swept the wolves up onto an isolated island, where there is no chance of escape, except perhaps from a curious female, who seems to live on the island. But is there more to her than meets the eye...?
(I don't know where you guys want to start, on the island, or before the tsunami, so I'll leave that up to you )
Re: The Forgotten Island
Thump
Thump
When Damian opened his eyes, he found nothing but darkness. He felt cold, oh so cold. He wanted nothing more than to close his eyes again and curl up. It felt so right. He could just drift off and let the sea bed take him. There'd be no more worries. No more fighting. No more trying to impress the pack. He'd be safe and comfortable wherever he ended up. Dakota? She'd be there too right? Damian convinced himself that she would. She wouldn't leave him. They'd be together for as long as they could and even longer.
However, something drove him forward. Something brought him back from the brink of non-existence. It tugged him, dragged him to the surface where the night air slammed him hard. He let out a pained breath, crying out as the freezing cold air swept down his lungs and shocked them back into life. He choked out water, spilling out bile as he bobbed in the water. The pup shook the water from his face and darted around. There was nothing to be seen except for water, or so the pup though. He turned around and saw an island close by. He wasn't too far out, but a pup against the rough sea, and a pup with only 3 legs, hardly stood a chance. However, he would not give up, despite his earlier temptation. He didn't want to die. He didn't want to give up that early. He had so much to live for and experience, that he felt ashamed that he even though that way. He blamed it on the horrible event.
The pup had never been victim to a tsunami and never wanted to be either. It was worse than the dog fights in his opinion. He never wanted to face something like that again. If something was to break Damian, it was that Tsunami. The hunt had gone normal, the pups cheeked back and the adults did their jobs. However, a storm had starts to brew in with little rain drops polka dotting their coats until they were soaked. Clouds swarmed them from either side and the sea roared at them, crashing into the land. Damian had been in storms before, but nothing like this. The earth shook, tearing the pup from his paws. The land seemed to come to life, shiftng and moving, ripping itsself apart as it created new mountains and cliffs.
Damian was a brave pup, but not even he was foolish enough to test nature. The pup was terrified. Nothing in life could have trained him for this. He remembered grabbing his sister by he scruff, helping her from the ground, and together they ran to the elders. Normally, they wouldn't ask for their help, but this was no normal event. They cowered under the elders, ignorant of the tsunami that was heading their way.
The wave hit them hard, making Damian blackout for only a few seconds, but that was all that was needed to get separated. He remembered crying out for Dakota, for Agro, for his pack, even Claudius. He battled against the current as trees and stones hit him as they were dragged by the water. He saw figures of his pack as they were pulled away from him, but no matter how hard or how fast he swam, he ended up alone.
Now he struggled to once again to keep his head above the water and head for the island. His missing leg made it hard for the pup to channel forward against the raging waters, but he made sure to at least stay above the water. Though, it was becoming difficult. Every moment made him whine. His body ached and was sore all over. He wanted nothing more than to curl up and sleep next to Dakota. He missed her. He needed her. He never knew how much she played a part of his life until now. He howled for her, hoping that she'd hear his calls, or if anyone would hear him. He was scared. He wouldn't admit it, but he was.

Re: The Forgotten Island
Then the wave came.
The whole pack was washed up in the wall of water before they had much of a chance to react. The male had tried to call out to Marina, to anyone but he was quickly washed away. It was a struggle as he did his best to stay above water, to fight against the waves to reach the others. It was of no use however, to fight something that strong is to lose, only tyring him out. Then a piece of debris struck the side of his head and everything went black.
Slowly Chance woke to a calmer sea. He had somehow been dumped partially onto his log. Weakly he coughed out some water from his lungs, the very action causing his head to feel like it had been hit with a rock. Reaching his paw up to it, he winced in pain. Pulling it back again it came away with blood. Clenching his teeth, he closed his eyes and rested his head back on the log, his rear legs dangling in the water. Destined to die out in the sea of thirst or blood loss. Why couldn’t the blow to the head have finished the job and save the the agony…
The male gave a bitter sigh. If he had barely survived what of the others? Had they drowned? Chance sniffled thinking of Marina. Just another thing he couldn’t protect her from…. Through his misery, something other than the sound of the ocean made it to his ears. It was another wolf. Ears perking up he tried to locate the direction it was coming from. “I’m coming,” he called weakly, his voice gravelly and broken. Lowering himself a little more into the water so he could paddle, he swam as best he could with the log towards the sound.
The wolf he came across was Damian. “Get on here, kid,” he commanded. Resting his head back down on the log he stopped paddling, the effort having exhausted the already tired male. He couldn’t tell if his head wound was still bleeding or not but figured it possibly still was. Closing his eyes, he lay there panting, happy in the knowledge that at least Damian would not drown, now able to climb onto something to rest.

Re: The Forgotten Island
The water was dark and salty, swirling her around and around until she couldn't tell which way the surface was. She clawed frantically at nothing, desperate for air. This is the end, she thought dimly. Seamus did this to kill me.
Well, she wasn't going to die without a fight. Flailing wildly, she burst into air with a dramatic gasp, pausing a moment to catch her breath. She was in water. It was calmer now, but she was exhausted. And she couldn't see anyone else. There was land, it seemed, not that far away. Choking back her panic, Marina began kicking for the shore.
Although she wasn't a particularly strong swimmer, waves buoyed her towards the sand. She forced herself to time her breathing and not think about the fact that everyone else was dead. She had survived. Surely someone else had.
Suddenly something cold and slimy wrapped around her foot, causing her to stumblr and water to fill her nose. Spluttering, she caught a glimpse of something dark in the water. Eyes seemed to glare out at her from the water, causing all semblance of calm to disappear.
"SEAMUS!" She shrieked. Opening her mouth allowed water to splash down her throat. Coughing violently, Marina struck out toward shore at an unnatural speed. She did not stop or even open her eyes until sand scraped against her paws. Gasping, she sloshed forward until the water was far behind her and the sand was dry. Her heart was pounding, her head spun. Seamus had done this to kill her. To make her join him or something. And he had failed. She had escaped. But he had killed everyone else; she couldn't see anyone.
Marina's gaze flitted over the beach, breathing heavily. Her entire body shook, and the world went black as the weight of almost drowning to death really sunk in.

Re: The Forgotten Island
There were wet drops on his nose. Mikazaru opened his eyes and yawned. It was cold and the weather made him automatically curl up, his tail resting on the tip of his nose, making himself feel warmer. He had dreamed while he was asleep. He could remember vague scenes from it, but he could not remember what the full picture was about. All he could remember was the beautiful white coat of a female wolf. What was her name again? A sudden cold washed over the male and he tried to breathe but couldn’t. It felt as if his lungs were pulled out of his body by great force. He didn’t know where he was, everything had gone black once he tried to breathe and opened his eyes. Where was he? What was going on? And where were the others? What should he do? Would he die? As an automatically reaction the gray wolf started to move his legs, making swimming motions. It felt like there was a force pushing onto his legs, like he was under water. What was going on!? There was only darkness, and a faint light. The eyes of someone he knew? His mother’s? Suddenly there was light. Breathing in deeply the male looked up at the dark sky. He was in water. How he had ended up here, he didn’t know. He didn’t remember. He felt hopelessly lost and cold. He wanted to close his eyes and go down, back into the water. There it was warmer than out here with his head in the strong blowing wind. Down there he could see his mother’s eyes again. He had been a failure, and he would die as a failure, he knew. But it didn’t bother him anymore. He had always been a failure and he was proud of himself. He would go back to his lost family, and be beaten up again by them, be punished. But he didn’t care. ‘’Get on here, kid.’’ It were the first words on earth he heard. Perking his ears Mikazaru looked around him, his eyes narrowed by sleep and cold. It hurt to hold them open too much. Searching over the dark blue surface he saw the face of a wolf which looked quite familiar, yet he could not realize the face. He swum closer to the wolf and realized it was Chance, calling out for Damian who was just there. In the water. ‘’Chance, Damian! Over here! I’m coming to you!’’, Mikazaru yelled as he tried to get near the two wolves. As he thought he was almost there, he heard a shriek over the waves the water made. ‘’SEAMUS!’’ ‘’M-Marina!?’’ Again darkness. A wave had struck him. Was it over now? There was a feeling of something dry, making his wet coat feel much heavier. But the wolf couldn’t open his eyes, so finding out was not an option at the moment. He didn’t know where he was or what had happened to him, but laying there with his eyes closed he guessed he and the Guild had been hit by a strong wave, a tsunami, probably? Rain. He hated it. During the days he felt like mourning over the family he had never known, Jeamesero would love to stand in the rain. But feeling quite agitated right now, just by the terrible weather, all the Hudson Bay wolf could so was groan in annoyance. He didn’t want to get up, he didn’t want to lay in another position, he didn’t want to do anything at all. He laid his head on his front paws, closing his chestnut brown eyes again as he felt the rain drops fall on his black colored nose. He moved his ears each time a drop fell on them, not opening his eyes to take a look at the sky. But suddenly he did opened his eyes, as he heard a strange rumbling sound coming his way, like there was a gang of a thousand lions or-whatever-animal coming towards him. he had never heard such a noise, so it sounded strange enough to alarm him. Getting to his paws, the wolf stretched his limbs and sneezed for a second, before glancing off into the distance. He saw something coming, but didn’t know what. Looking beside him he saw a black wolf asleep, curled up. Jeamesero wasn’t sure if he should alarm the male or not. Maybe it wasn’t that big of a deal, maybe it wasn’t a danger, whatever came their way. What was the wolf’s name again? Mikazaru, right? Jeamesero couldn’t really remember. He had never been good at remembering names. Completely lost in his own thoughts, his dull chestnut brown eyes on the sleeping gray wolf, there was a strong blow hitting him in the chest and he was pushed backwards, away from the sleeping wolf. Jeamesero realized it was water, but he had to stressed feelings. Why would he worry anyway? He had no one that cared about him, and he had been way too short with this traveling pack to actually get to know someone and become friends. he had nothing to lose. But, the thought coming to his mind that he would survive while the others would drown, gave him strength to start swimming. He heard a few voices over the water, but what he heard clear enough was the scream of a female wolf not too far away from him. it was like she was right behind him. yet, looking all around him, there was no sign of this female. ‘’SEAMUS!’’, ringed in his ears and the light brown coated male turned around to take a better look, still he could not see the female. Then another wave hit him, pushing him under the surface, and before he knew it he opened his eyes and realized he was somewhere else. He was no longer in the water, but laying on sand, like he had ended up on some sort of beach. He coughed and slowly got up on his paws, shaking his coat dry. With a heavy, still quite wet coat he started to stumble into a direction he didn’t even know. not up the beach, towards the strange looking trees far on his left, but alongside the edge of the water. It was then when he went up a hill of sand, he saw a wolf’s body laying on the shore. the eyes were closed, and Jeamesero realized the wolf could have died. He felt the sudden need to get down there and see if the wolf was alright, even though he had never thought of any things like that. It had always been saving himself, never one another. Running down the hill, he went over to the wolf on the shore to see who it was, and came to realize it was one of the pack’s members. A female wolf which smelled like a mixture of wolf, dog and seawater. Out of no reason the Hudson Bay wolf started to nudge the female, his chestnut brown eyes still dull and like he was staring into the distance. He tried to push her over to feel her heartbeat, to make sure he was nudging her for a purpose, but he found himself feeling weak and collapsing to the ground. He tried to get back to his paws and started nudging her again. With his head held low, he hung over the female’s head, waiting for her to wake up. if she would ever wake up. Re: The Forgotten Island
A shape, something dark and long zoned over him and the gurgled voice of Chance battled through the water. He was here to save him! A new spring of hope pranced in his heart as he kicked out. He kicked and pulled against the sea, pulling himself closer to the surface. He broke free with a mighty breath. He sucked in as much oxygen as he could before looking up at Chance laying upon the broken tree stump. He scrambled onto the tree, his muscles crying as he made them work harder than he had ever down. He struggled for longer than he normally would before flopping onto the hard wood.
He shivered as the droplets fell from his coat, trying to keep his freezing body warm. The exhaustion of the situation latched onto the pup almost dragging him into the realm of unconsciousness, but he refused, fought back and won. He couldn't pass out yet. He had to check if Dakota was okay. He scanned the waters, but there was no Dakota to be seen. He whined at the thought of her drowning, his ears flat against his head.
“Dakota!” He yelled, his voice cracking as he called out her name. He crashed his head down upon the log once more, too tired to even call for his sister. He tried once more, but only a pitiful howl crossed over the sea. It wasn't much, but he hope that his sister had heard the call.
Damian looked back at his saviour. Chance didn't look how he felt. He was covered in cuts and looked like he had been beaten with a bat, and had used the last of his energy.
T-thanks.” He choked weakly, not a hint of malice in his voice. He was grateful for his rescue, despite how ashamed he felt towards the idea, but all the same he was glad that someone had given him the desire to live again, the chance to live. He padded over to the older male and nuzzled under Chance's head, letting the male rest it on him. “I'm only doing this for warmth.” He muttered, his old self shining through once more. He closed his eyes for only a second, letting the heat dance between them. A soft whine left him as he felt his body warm up, it hurt from the extreme cold, but he new it would do him good. He hated the idea of cuddling with another, unless it was his sister, but he was no idiot. He would die from the cold if he did not warm up. His pride was not going to kill him.
He waited silently as the log continued a path towards the island. He couldn't wait to step onto dry land. He was sick of the sea and wanted nothing more than for his pads to touch soft sand.
“Look-land.” He whispered as he looked across to the sandy beaches. He scanned the island, hoping to see his sister. However, all he could see was Marina and Jeamsero. At least it wasn't just him and Chance.
‘’Chance, Damian! Over here! I’m coming to you!’’
“Mikazaru?” The pup's ears twitched at the call from the wolf. So even the weakling had survived. Damian was impressed that even the weakest member of the pack had survived. The pup once again let out a small howl, hoping that the black male would hear it and swim towards them. If they lost anyone in the pack, the odds of living on this island got slimmer. He couldn't let that happen. He would not die of starvation. Not after all this.

Re: The Forgotten Island
Snoring loudly in the small dark cave, was a wolf with a dark coloured pelt, a bright red scarf wrapped around his neck, and a top hat to his left. The storm helped him sleep. They always did. The pour of the rain beat down on the stones and rocks above his head in a gentle pitter patter that soothed and relaxed the generally highly strung wolf.
It had been bad weather outside, and he was glad to be in his cave, warm and snug away from it, but still enough to hear it. He was curled up, in a crescent moon shape around his top hat. His signature look. This wolf was generally a mad one. No, not furious, but crazy, mental.
"SEAMUS!"
Although it was a yell, it was a faint yell, struggling to be heard through the rain. Jefferson at first thought it to be in his head, but then his hazy purple eyes opened, and he realised that it in fact was actually real. Sitting up with a wide yawn the black wolf grabbed his top hat in his mouth and flicked it up onto his head in a singular motion. It sat over one ear, and angled on his head.
Stretching his paws he then straightened his scarf and shook his coat, making sure he was prepared for the weather outside. As he exited the cave he looked up at the sky to realise that it was no longer raining. Jefferson shone a one sided grin, eyes peering out from under the hat. He trotted off to find where the sound had come from, a peculiar prance in the male's step.
He came across a she-wolf who was passed out on the sand, and a male that was nudging at her. Jefferson cocked his head to the side. He swayed his long tail curiously behind him as he looked to them both speaking.
"I'm often seen around a lot, referred to many ways,
See me black and you may find misfortune haunts your days.
Tell a thing, that should have been kept quiet, to all around,
Then look inside the sack, there I'm no longer to be found.
Nosiness, prying, snooping, leaves me fearing, full of dread,
For all these things are likely to see me soon lying dead.
These clues combined should start to give a picture, an idea,
Of who or what I am, so can you tell me? Is it clear?"
The black wolf sat, curling the long fluffy tail around his legs, looking at both the wolves. He knew the female would come around back to her senses eventually, but Jefferson could toy with the male for a while.

Re: The Forgotten Island
“T-thanks.”
Chance looked over at his companion in surprise. He certainly hadn’t been expecting any thanks. More surprising was that fact that he seemed sincere about it. Smiling he croaked out a reply, “It’s ok, Dami.” Lifting his head slightly he allowed the pup to wriggle under it. He smirked gently as the pup tried to act tough despite his position. “At least you make a nice pillow…”
Hearing a voice calling out to them, Chance’s ears flicked. He was too tired to look and see who it was but he didn’t have to. Damian muttered the caller’s name. Mikazaru. Another had survived the horrific experience. Another voice cried out, this one Chance recognised immediately, one that was important enough for him to lift his head and look wildly about. “Marina!” He spotted the land Damian had mentioned and could see Marina on the beach another wolf beside her. The male started to try and paddle toward shore. He needed to get to her side.
Eventually he made it to where the waves could push them to shore and he let the water do the work for him as he puffed from exhaustion. He couldn’t see where Mikazaru got to and hoped the male was going to be alright. Looking back over at his love he saw another wolf walk up to her and the very strange wolf that had joined the guild before the storm hit. He wanted to be there to protect her but was still afraid as it hadn’t worked out so well last time he had tried to do that.
Thanks to the waves Damian and Chance floated to the beach. “Boat ride’s over,” he muttered, dropping off into the water himself. Using the last of his strength he made it where he could stand in the water, his tired legs barely able to hold him. Dragging himself onto the shore he collapsed unable to go any further. Closing his eyes he lay sprawled out on the sand, eyes closed and breathing heavily. At least the pup would survive now and even though Damian was not the nicest of wolves, everyone deserved a chance to live. Chance had helped give him that…

Re: The Forgotten Island
“Marina!” She could just make out her name, although the voice that shouted it sounded warped and slowed down. The wolf blinked, aware of something poking her. She grunted, then coughed before resting her head back down onto whatever substance she was currently resting on.
Suddenly, it all came back to her. The flood. The dark shape in the water. The flood. She bolted upright, letting out a cry of alarm. Two blurry shapes, one dark and one light, hovered in front of her. Not recognizing either of them, she drew back her paw and offered the lighter one a surprisingly sharp slap. "Get away from me, you creep!"
She blinked and shook her head, her vision finally clearing, and realized it was only Jeames. "Oh my gosh," she gasped, mortified. "I'm so sorry Jeames - I didn't recognize you... And I panicked."
Now that she was out of danger, terror caught up with her fully. She burst into tears. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to slap you in the face is everyone all right-" she paused to heave a miserable sob. "- I was just so scared... The ocean... The wave... The ghost...."
She paused her wailing, realizing that the other wolf was a stranger. And strange would be an apt way to describe him. He was sitting there, not wet at all, with a friendly yet unnerving purple gaze. Perhaps most peculiar was the fact that he was wearing a scarf and what Marina assumed was a hat, although she had never seen one quite like that.
"Who are you?" She sniffled ungracefully, attempting to wipe her eyes but only managing to smear sand across her face. "Where did you get human clothes?" I want a scarf...
“Boat ride’s over." A familiar voice made Marina turn just in time to see Chance and Damian schlump out of the water before collapsing in the sand. Mikazaru appeared to be saved as well.
"You're alright!" barked Marina, wanting to run over to them (especially Chance) but still feeling too faint to do so. She frowned, darting an anxious glance over the water. Claudius, Aderyn, Dakota... Where were they?
She looked plaintively back toward Jeamesero and Weird-Clothes-Guy, hoping they knew what to do.

These clues combined should start to give a picture, an idea, Of who or what I am, so can you tell me? Is it clear?’’ The sudden voice startled the Hudson Bay wolf, looking to his side with perked ears. There was a black wolf with a red scarf around his neck, and a top hat placed on his head. The wolf looked odd and so did the words sound he spoke. The light brown coated wolf looked at the male stranger with confusion, tilting his eyebrow. He looked him up and down and wondered why this wolf was dressed like this. He had completely forgotten about the passed out female laying in front of him on the beach. The way the male looked at Jeamesero made the Hudson Bay wolf shiver slightly; this male had something odd, not only the pieces of clothes he was wearing, or his words, but also the way he looked at the brown colored wolf. It was like he was keeping an eye on him, like Jeamesero was going to do anything bad to him or the female called Marina. But of course Jeamesero wasn’t going to, so he shouldn’t be worrying. Yet he felt uncomfortable and scared. His chestnut brown eyes were wide and showed signs of puppy-like behavior towards the unknown wolf. Was this wolf also a lot bigger than him? Or was he just imagining it? Jeamesero’s attention was drawn back to the female as she opened her eyes. Marina looked up at him and the stranger, blinking and dazed. She didn’t seem to recognize them, as she suddenly started to yell random things at Jeamesero and the other male. It quite scared the light brown coated wolf, and it even made it worse once she started slapping in his face with her paws. Jeamesero began to whimper loudly. ‘’Get away from me, you creep!’’ Jeamesero couldn’t even respond in whatever way he wanted to, as Marina suddenly changed her behavior towards him. His face hurt and he still whimpered, but he had not changed expressions in a way to stop the female from hitting him,. He had let it come, which was unusual for this male with a split personality. ‘’I’m so sorry Jeames – I didn’t recognize you… And I panicked.’’, she mumbled, and she burst out into tears as she continued speaking; Jeames didn’t know how to respond to this. ‘’ I'm sorry I didn't mean to slap you in the face is everyone all right- I was just so scared... The ocean... The wave... The ghost...’’ ‘’I-it’s alight, Marina… Are you okay?’’ Then her eyes went to the stranger and Marin asked a question Jeamesero had wanted to ask much earlier, but hadn’t dared to bring out: ‘’Who are you? Where did you get human clothes?’’ ‘’I wonder, too…’’, he mumbled, more to himself than to Marina or this very stranger sitting beside him. He also wondered if the others were alright. Who had survived this storm? Probably not all of them, but he hoped they all had. Jeamesero had never been fond of anyone, but he did hope for everyone he knew they had ended up safe and alive. And he realized his thought had become real; Marina called out something about being alright and he followed her gaze to see two wolves laying on the beach; a pup and an adult wolf. More down towards the water there was another wolf, a black one. He was laying still and Jeamesero wasn’t sure if this male was breathing or not. It was the wolf he had met the first the day he joined this traveling pack; was it Mikazaru? ‘’Let’s check if they’re alright. Mika doesn’t look too well… at least those other two seem fine.’’, he spoke and he began aging his tail slightly. Moving down the hill towards the others who had survived, he didn’t look behind him to see if Marina and the stranger were following him or not. Re: The Forgotten Island
At that moment though he was too tired to move; his mind strangely replaying the jumble of voices since waking, afloat on the log. Something that started to become clear to him was the riddle the strange spoke. Unexplainably he was able to grasp on its intent. “A-a cat…” he muttered, opening his eyes a little. Chance coughed, expelling some moisture from his lungs. “Cat…” His mutterings seemed random, and in a way they were.
So after the experience he had just lived through, and the fact his live was no longer in direct jeopardy sleep was inevitable. Sleep was what overcame him. Chance’s world grew dark.

Re: The Forgotten Island
"Get away from me, you creep!"
Jefferson giggled sillily to himself as the wolf shot up and hit the one closest to her, there was a reason he had sat back from the strangers. The crack sounded reasonably painful and it excited the mad wolf. He wagged his tail happily as the female sat up. He watched her keenly.
"Oh my gosh,"
"I'm so sorry Jeames - I didn't recognize you... And I panicked."
The she-wolf seemed completely scared and sorry that she had hit her obvious pack mate. After all these wolves washing ashore, Jefferson felt protective over his little island. No company here had driven him mad. He needed to find his Gracie, but was yet to find a way out of this hell.
"Who are you?"
"Where did you get human clothes?"
‘’I wonder, too…’’
Jefferson blinked his glowing purple eyes at the female. He shuffled back not wanting her to take his items. They were his. No one else's. He gave a small protective growl. "They're mine!" he hissed at the female, tucking his head into his neck. Pinning his exposed ear back against his skull at her. Before all of a sudden sitting bolt upright, ear perked, eyes glowing brightly. "I'm Jefferson!" he yipped. "This is my island" he said in a more softer tone.
His ears perked as he looked over to the wolves that were washed up on the beach. Flicking his tail about anxiously. He hoped they weren't here to steal his stuff or take his island. Sure, he wanted to get off here, but after the years spent here, he became rather attached to it.
“A-a cat…”
“Cat…”
Someone answered his riddle, Jefferson searched around quickly. He found the wolf, it was one of the collapsed ones on the ground, that had washed up. He felt a fire burn up inside him of frustration, and raw emotion. He shot to his paws and bolted down to the wolf. That riddle was Gracie's favourite. And she used to answer in the same way. "Cat Cat" He grumbled as he looked over the sleeping wolf. It was in an exhausted state and fell into a deep sleep. Jefferson grinned toothily and wickedly. This wolf would be his prisoner.
He looked around slightly anxious around the others. He needed to take this wolf back to the caves. His ears flicking. He shuffled himself under the wolf after placing his top hat on the ground. Laying the wolf over his shoulders.
He picked his top hat up in his mouth, looking to the two wolves that were awake. "I'm just taking him out of the weather, it will rain again soon!" he said smoothly as he then bolted off into the forest.
Scrambling through the forest, he twisted and turned to leave circles of trial marks, before walking into the river, and following it to the waterfall. Jumping through the great waterfall, there was the secret entrance to the cave, He didn't care that he had splashed the wolf on the way through. It had kept part of himself dry.
Nails clicking on the stoney ground he dropped the wolf heavily in one of the chambers after walking the series of tunnels. There were chains fixed to the walls of the caves. Probably used during the shipwreck he arrived in for the prisoners, judging by the skeletons around. Grabbing the chains, he clamped them around the wolf's two fore paws and his neck.
He wasn't going anywhere. Jefferson would interrogate him. After all this wolf had taken his Gracie from him.
He needed for him to wake up, and so, Jefferson sat his top hat aside to allow it to dry off. He gave a shake and removed his scarf as well, revealing the large scar that went in a semi-circle shape, around his throat and sides of his neck, there was no fur here, and was about an inch across in width. This was the reason he had worn the scarf.
After drying himself off he looked at the small cave pool, filled his mouth with water, and trotted over to the prisoner. He spat the cool water all over its face, in an attempt to wake it.

Marina nodded hastily, sniffling again. She forced herself to calm down, remembering that she had escaped from Seamus. So had everyone else... Well, almost everyone. The wolfdog scanned the ocean again, wondering if anyone had been drowned.
"They're mine!" The stranger had hissed at the mention of his clothing. He now straightened up and cheerfully introduced himself as Jefferson. "This is my island"
"This is an island?" Marina's voice rose in pitch. That meant that they were surrounded by water. Surrounded by waves. She gulped, forcing herself not to think about that right now. She could be scared once everyone had been found.
‘’Let’s check if they’re alright. Mika doesn’t look too well… at least those other two seem fine.’’
"Okay," answered Marina weakly. Jeames stood up and she followed, pausing for a moment to make sure she wouldn't faint. Chance, Damian, and Mikazaru were nearby; the adults were unconscious, though Chance looked less tattered than Mika. Marina shuffled over the the black lad and poked his shoulder with a paw. "Mika, are you alright? Mika?"
While she was wondering how to revive him, Jefferson said something in the background. It wasn't until she had turned around from standing over Mikazaru that she realized both the strange wolf and Chance were gone.
"Where did they go?" She asked Jeames nervously. She would be panicked again, but she didn't know where Addy or Claudius or Dakota were either. But if Jefferson was doing anything harmful to her Chance... He's not your Chance, she chided herself, surprised at the thought.

Clarise stumbled ungracefully out of the shallows, feeling very heavy and very exhausted. Gosh darn it why did that freaking have to happen what the heck have I let my bloody life come to UGH. Her thoughts continued to spiral into a colorful range of expletives. Shaking herself off, she flopped into the sand and panted, hating her life.
She had been wandering along, completely innocent, and a horrid wave had engulfed her. Now she had no idea where she was, but it was definitely not anywhere she wanted to be. She was also very sore, and she had a gash on her front leg. It stung like mad. The salty water had already washed it out, however, so she needn't worry.
She did need to worry about escaping from wherever she was. She sat up again and worried for a few minutes about what to do about her current situation. As if in answer, her large ears picked up voices coming from around a bend in the shore. Shaking her fur again, she trotted on shaking legs in their direction.
A pale wolf and a speckled female were standing over a black male who appeared unconscious. A pup was nearby. They were all even more disheveled than Clarise. Had they been swept here too? Come to think of it, their scent was vaguely familiar. Perhaps they had been near her. Clarise watched them, not really in the mood to converse. Although... She would probably need them. Surviving on her own was difficult enough, and now that she was lost she might not even be able to take care of herself at all.
She remained where she was like a derp, leaving herself in full view but not making any motion to interact with them.

The first thing Chance noticed was the stranger sitting in front of him and the large scar in his neck. A little frightened by it, the male tried to wriggle backwards. This motion was what caused him to notice the feeling of something around his own neck as well as his front legs. Glancing down he saw the strange metal objects around them which anchored him to the wall. Momentarily forgetting the stranger he tried to struggle free but he could not bite them or slip them off. They were stuck.
Curling up against the wall he looked fearfully at the dark stranger. Why was here there? Had this wolf taken him prisoner? Where were the others? Were they in a position similar to himself? The male whined, starting to shake. Finally he managed to squeak out, “Wh-what a-am I doing here?”

Re: The Forgotten Island
Aderyn had not noticed the wall of water as quickly as the others. She had kept going when everyone had paused to stop and stare, when she herself turned around to ask what was taking them so long. Ba-bump. It was like a nightmare. Ba-bump. The whole world stopped in those moments. Ba-bump. Her ears ringed with the crashing of the thundering wave. Her heart thudded in her ears. Ba-bump. She, as like the rest of the members, had been swept away in a torrent of water. The force of the wave sent her tumbling backwards, over and over as she was pulled under. Aderyn had tried to use her paws to steady herself but her thin frame did next to nothing to combat the brute force of the wave. The air had been forced out of her lungs, leaving her desperate for air before she had been dragged under into the dark depths of the water; her mouth had filled with the water, the water filling every inch of her mouth making her panic wildly as she continued to roll over and over in the water. Ba-bump. Legs thrashing. Eyes screwing shut. Ears filling with water. Ba-bump. Ba-bump. Ba-bump. The soft lapping of the waves was what reached her ears first. Soft? They had been thunderous a moment ago, she swore they had. Yet nonetheless, she didn’t question it further for the soft sounds were heaven to her ears as the wave had left a tremendous ringing ache in her ears. Aderyn opened her eyes slowly which were greeted with a small patch of blue which rose gently up and down as it lapped against her muzzle and a strip of yellow. Aderyn lifted her head up and she felt the water drip from her muzzle fur and make soft plopping noises as they re-joined the sea, her mouth holding the taste of salt. Once her eyes focused, she realised she was in the shallows which lead onto a beach and her heart soared as she realised she had survived that wave. Ba-bump. She could still hear her heart thudding away, that was a good sign. Very good. Aderyn made the effort to get to her feet, despite her entire body shrieking vehemently in protest at her movements. Her body felt sore and achy as she slowly trudged her way through the two or so metres left of shallow water, her heavy feet and slipping creating a splash each time she placed her paw down onto the sand submerged beneath the blue water. As she set foot on the dry sand, which would be wet any minute now, she gave as much effort as she could to shake loose the water which still clung to her brown fur. She did not know how long she had been in the water, all she knew, she never wanted to do it again. Her aching body then slumped to the floor, she was never good in water, and this proved her point perfectly, after a quick look around from where she lay, which gave her a limited view point she couldn’t spot any of her pack mates. Her heart quickened for a moment and she struggled up to her feet. Wolves Addressed: None Wolves Mentioned: The pack Notes: FINALLY POSTED FOR HER. I used the 'ba-bump' as a bit of a space filler at the start, but then, it just kinda drifted into showing how her heart rate was for effect and stuff XD And yes this is lame. But FINALLY. |

Re: The Forgotten Island
hie noctem requievit word count: 1435 | It was the recurring image of her brother's death that scarred her eyes with brilliant yet dulling contrast. When she saw everyday things -- the colour red, the prey that he liked to hunt -- she was bombarded with the same series of memory. The image of him as he was curled up in a pile of his own bodily fluid, his ankles cut and spurting blood and his fur glazed in pinkish paste. Jennezia had searched for words as she watched him, but nothing came. So she just kept staring, listening to his obnoxious, bloodcurdling screeches. In fact, she didn't say anything at all until he turned his head towards her, acknowledging her, and then telling her that there were more wolves nearby. Jen didn't bother to ask what had given him such clean but effective wounds -- she nodded and sprinted off in a general direction, trying to rid her mind of what she'd just witnessed. Her own brother's death. She hadn't even tried to assist him. So, in conclusion, she'd have given her place for her brother. Died so that she could be invisible; forever a sad an incomplete spirit roaming the forest. It would be better than the position she was in right now. Jennezia could barely speak straight in front of other wolves, much less kill one, she realized. But she might as well have, watching as her own kin struggled in a nameless trap on the floor of the forest, decorating the already ornamental leaves with the true colours of his suffering. She had watched as he shrieked with the magnitude of a thousand deaths but in one. Someone once asked her 'if a tree fell in the forest with no one around to hear it, would it make a sound?' The answer was yes, but under circumstances of selective hearing. Jennezia had chosen not the hear the uttermost skin-crawling of his series of screams. She felt a chill move through her body, a visible tremble from her nose to her tail, as she was pulled back into a state of surprise when, in a blink of an eye, commotion erupted. The mere sight of a youthful female leaping into sight, a rather jovial greeting fleeting loudly from her maw. That was how she had entered the back territory, she realized. She wouldn't have first expected such a large sound from a little canine like her, but perhaps her ears were so familiarized with the quiet of her own self and her den that she had forgotten what happiness was like to the ear drum. She felt the surprise, utter shock as it took chunks from her usually natural tranquility and grace. It was difficult to shake off even with her most focused attempts to take the situation lightly. Her heart felt as though it had been injected with the iciness that filled her veins. Jennezia had hardly ever achieved that level of happiness in only too long. Days were filled with questionable exhaustion. She'd go to sleep and wake up as if she'd never gotten a wink of rest. But she smiled anyway, a small laugh, almost whispered laugh escaping her maw. At least she was able to experience the wonders of childhood while it lasted. The precious innocence that with time would soon wither away like every good thing that decided to make it's presence in this earth. But she supposed that was simply life making room for new wonders. She trembled again, half from anxiety, and the other from the soft, cool air of the sunless meadow. The faint, warm scent of canine touched her quivering snout at one point of her peaceful exploration on the outskirts of the pack camp. But the girl hadn't turned around just yet. Curiosity had gotten the best of her, sending her into the depths of a situation, a scene that could end up where she took her last breath. The air also scented of vegetation and decomposing carcasses of animals that had gotten their strings unfortunately cut, the earthy redolence that clung to the stirring air, accompanying the one fragrance that struck panic inside the canine. Before she went off on a rant about responsibility, she caught herself. It was not a bad thing to be a part of such a large, fabulously empty community. All of her friends were here, with her, in her mind. There were all kinds of landscapes here, too. But what she really wanted was time with her mind. She'd worded it incorrectly, she knew, but she wanted time where she wasn't bogged down with work to do. Her self-bestowed duties would understand a vacation. Or she wouldn't. Jennezia was Jennezia's responsibility. She winced, suddenly. The word kept echoing in her mind, torchering her, penetrating through her mental barrier. If she drove herself insane with this pointless stress, she'd be amused. But amusement was not what she needed. That variable was still unidentified. Jen paused, her mahogany fur bristling as she picked up a flower of lavender. It was supposed to calm her but, if anything, it put her more on edge. Over anything, Jennezia's greatest fear was losing her mind under any circumstances. She wanted her thoughts to be her's and she wanted to remember what was happening now sanely in the future. Lavender was one of the plants that intimidated her, as somehow it's sweet scents were supposed to evaporate through her nostrils and calm her. She couldn't help but wonder what the plant was actually hacking into withing her mind, what it was ruining, what it was stealing. That's why she spent so much alone time, though. Not because of the plant, of course. She exercised her mind, imagined things, though about things. Anything. She just wanted to keep herself. Jenne's father's pack had not just been of brothers and sister, but of cousins too. It was practically her whole family, and Anna was a part of it. Only, a long forgotten part of it. Her father had been practically a brother to Jennezia's father. They had worked together, she'd gathered, to fight off a mountain lion. But that was just a legend. They had a deep emotional connection that nobody could understand. Anyway, as her father's friend came to live with her family as kin, she met Anna. Anna, her sooty fur and pale yellow eyes that observed everything. It was her idea to run out and explore the forest. That's how Jen got into it all. They had wandered out of the pack territory as little girls hoping for an adventure, until they realized that they were lost. They kept wandering in a general direction for three days. That's when Jenna really got to know Anna. With pressure added, she had a certain charm to her persona. She had begun screaming at nothing at all, attacking Jennezia with aggression that seemed to be invented on the spot. This adventure had ruined Anna's mind beyond what she could understand. Traumatic anxiety had overpowered adrenalin. From there, things only got worse. In some complex argument with her imaginary friend, she had run off fervently in the direction of what Jen now knew as an uninhabited sector to the vast woodland. From there, she'd kept thinking about Anna. There had been a connection between them, a click. They understood eachother and related to eachother. They had become actual friends. She was the reason Jennezia was hesitant over meeting wolves. For weeks, she'd tried to follow Anna but she was nowhere to be found, lost in the endless maze of the forest. She often wanted to speak to Anna again and talk about the simple things, rant about life and everything else. Telling her pack mates these things just wasn't the same; they weren't family the way Anna was. Now, she felt utterly alone. Herbs didn't help insanity. Her father had died and she'd never had a mother. Her brother had disappeared into some stately specimen of a pack and everybody else had probably forgotten about her, the mahogany child with many dreams. She was just a mistake, a wrinkle in the softened fabric of her family tree. An error that could never quite be erased, but scratched off to the point that it was unreadable. Yet somehow, she'd found this family. They urged her into them, taken her as an idol and shone her halo above everyone as the first deputy to ever reign. She didn't deserve it. Where was Anna now? Dead, suffering? Lost? At least she had a clear conscience. Jen was more miserable than Anna would ever be because her suffering was her fault. normal speech |

The hatter sat in the shadows waiting for his victim to awaken. He was staring at the small puddle of water in the centre of the chamber that was light up by the skylight hole in the roof of the chamber. The scar was aching, he lifted a paw to rub along its bumpy edge of the scar.
“Wh-what a-am I doing here?”
He heard the chains clatter and clang together, the classic one sided grin hit his smug face as the wolf was fearful. Perhaps interrogating him would be easier than he expected. Jefferson got to his paws and swaggered across to the wolf.
Purple gaze down upon him, the wolf was shaking with fear, he licked his lips, cackled and danced around him. "What is your name?" he asked in a high pitched voice as he looked the wolf over, batting at its ear. This was preparation for what was to come. He wouldn't stay here too long, he would have to return to the group of wolves to avoid suspicion.
He flicked his tail as he turned and tugged on the chains to make sure they weren't going to snap or break. Satisfied they weren't going to break, he sat back, sitting on his hind quarter, both forelegs laying against his chest, he held the key in his mouth, and swivelled it around on a claw shortly after.
"If your wanting to live Chap, I suggest you answer all my questions" he said boredly as he tucked the key into the inside of his hat, around the sweat band part. He sat the hat back aside, gave a huff, and stared at the wolf, waiting for his response.

Re: The Forgotten Island
‘’They’re mine! I’m Jefferson! This is my island.’’, the stranger spoke, wearing his top hat and scarf. Jeamesero shot him quick look before heading over to the black male who was passed out, laying on the beach. He didn’t feel like responding. This male had told them his name; there was no need to respond. However, before leaving the stranger to stay with Marina, he spat back: ‘’Jeamesero, nice to meet you.’’ ‘’Nice…?’’, he thought to himself, not even sure why he was questioning his own words. Leaning over the black wolf Mikazaru, he saw no movement in the male. His chest was going up and down, which meant he was breathing. Yet he was not awake. Nudging Mikazaru, the Hudson Bay wolf heard the stranger called Jefferson close to him. ‘’I'm just taking him out of the weather, it will rain again soon!’’ Looking up he saw Jefferson was near Chance, pulling him onto his back, carrying him away. Jeamesero frowned as he watched the male. He didn’t know if he should go after him or not. The male’s words had a creepy tone to them which the light brown coated wolf didn’t quite understand, it made him feel uncomfortable. Yet he didn’t feel like going after the male. Marina was still dazed by the storm and Mikazaru was passed out. He wasn’t even sure how Damian was doing. Jeamesero himself was the only one on the beach right now, being a member of the pack, that was doing pretty good, for the situation they were in. He decided to leave this Jefferson, hopefully bringing Chance to safety. Jeamesero would try and find him soon enough again once everyone was found safe and sound. ‘’ Mika, are you alright? Mika?’’, Jeamesero heard Marina speak beside him. He looked up at her and mumbled with dull chestnut brown eyes: ‘’I will probably wake up soon enough; he’s still breathing.’’ ‘’Where did they go?’’ Jeamesero knew she was talking about this Jefferson taking away Chance, he had seen the direction they had went to, but felt no need to share his findings with the female. All he did to answer her was shrug and frown. Looking around he saw Dakota and Aderyn had reached the beach as well. Were they alright? That was another question. But Jeamesero felt no need to move and check it out. He looked over at Marina and mumbled: ‘’Marina, Aderyn and Dakota have reached the beach as well. I’m not sure how they’re doing, so can you check them out? I will take care of Mikazaru and Damian. The kid must be cold.’’ Looking at Mikazaru, Jeamesero grabbed the black male by the scruff and started pulling him towards Damian, who was still lying on the beach. He dropped the male near the pup and laid right in the middle, pulling the two wolves close to him and wrapping his big fluffy tail around the pup. His coat was still a bit wet, but Jeamesero was able to hold them warm by doing this. Body warmth would hopefully do the trick on waking them both up. While he did all of this, he didn’t pay much attention to Dakota, who was close near him as well. Addressed: Marina, Jefferson(?) Re: The Forgotten Island
“M-my name’s Chance…” he replied quietly, moving his head to try and stop the black male from batting at his ear, which was already pulled close to his head. With the other checking his chains, Chance shuffled away, the rattling noise of the chain adding to his fear. The sound of clinking metal was a foreign noise to his ears as was the cold feeling of metal. He did not understand how such things could come to be, having never seen such before, which added to his uneasiness.
His captor held something. Staring at it, Chance was not sure what it did. The other male seemed rather pleased to have it though, stashing it away in his hat. He wondered if it was some sort of magical device that could release him from his bonds.
“Q-questions?” he stuttered out. “But I don’t understand…. What have I done?” He gave a little whine. Things were not going well. Perhaps this male was deluded and had dragged Chance into some strange game. If this male really was crazy he decided it would be in his best interest to play along and try not to cause trouble. He was in no fit state to defend himself if the other chose to attack. Lowering his head close to the ground, the rusty coated male looked up, “I won’t cause you any trouble…” Hopefully with time the pack would be able to come and rescue him; just so long as this wolf didn’t kill him first.

Re: The Forgotten Island
He wondered where she was. If she was okay, or if she wan injured- or worse. No. He couldn't think like that. She was alive. He could feel it. If she did die, he'd know for sure. He'd feel the tearing of his soul. She was alive somewhere, but he just didn't know where.
“Damian?”
His large ears poked up in alert. Did he, by some miracle, hear her? His eyes slowly cracked open as he lifted his heavy head. The world blurred slightly as his red rimmed eyes scanned the beach. Where was she? He was sure he heard her voice. She had to be close by. Despite his trembling body, Damian slowly fought against his aching body and stood up. His limbs shook and the world span on its axis. He stumbled to the side, almost tripping over the white wolf next to him. Why was the world spinning? He rested his head against the nape of Jeamesero's neck, letting the wet fur dampen his scorching head. He didn't understand. One minute he was freezing his tail off (no pun intended) and the next he, he felt like shrimp on a BBQ. What was wrong with him?
“Damian!”
His head once again shot up. His eyes darted the beach, searching over every rock and cranny until he saw a small shape on the said. Dakota. A rush of adrenaline coursed through him as he sprinted towards her. “Dakota!” He yelled as he darted to her side, his heart swelling with relief. He buried his head against hers and gave a sigh, before suppressing a growl. “Don't die on me.” He snarled slightly, baring his teeth.
Though, his new found energy didn't last long. Within second, his paws buckled from underneath him. He curled his way next to his sister and together they shared each other's warmth. He did not dare look at her, not letting her see how angry and upset he was, but most of all, not letting her see how scared he was. That was the last thing he wanted. Though, his body was a clear indication of that- it shook, trembling, his eyes grave with fear swimming inside of them, his ears flat and his docked tail down. He was just a frightened little pup.

Re: The Forgotten Island
He wasn't about to argue with that. He was too spent. His mouth felt like led, the pup wanted to remain quiet. He wanted to stay next to his sister's side and collect all of the warm and share it with her. A small smile pressed on his face as he curled in closer. Despite everything they went through, as long as they had each other they knew they'd be okay.
“We're older and stronger now. Smarter than when we were younger. We survived the first two times. We're surviving this time. Don't try to argue with me, or I'll kill you myself” “Bit more of a challenge now, but I think I can manage it”
“Yeah- we did.” He mumbled, burying his head into her neck, shielding himself from the breeze. The weather was calmer, but still drifts of wind blew against them, sending the pup's body into a spasm, trying to re-heat its-self. A burst of air snorted from Damian as a grin grew on his face. “Kill me? I think not dear sister.” Amusement coursed through his body. Despite being attack by nature and dragged to who knows where, his sister was still able to make him feel better.
They stayed that for a while. Pressed together, sharing each other's strength. Damian felt sleep creeping towards him, but eh shook it back. He still wasn't in the clear. He remember before they had found the pack. The two of them had been surrounded by thick white snow. It was a blanket of death around them. He had felt the need to sleep then, to let himself slip into darkness. Death had almost taken him that day. If it wasn't for the old man finding him, he was sure that he and maybe his sister would have perished that. He felt that same feeling of sleep upon him again. Though, he refused to give in to it. He was going to live.
“Dakota, we need to get up and stay alive.” He muttered, looking over to the others of his pack. Weakly, he pushed himself back onto his paws. Pain shot through him as he moved and he almost fell back down. A growl broke free as he planted his paws firmly into the sand. I'm not going to lie here and be weak. I won't back down. He told himself, a growl rumbling off him again. Damian looked down at his sister, pushing his nose under his stomach. He pushed up, hoping to get her back onto her paws, getting her blood to flow around her body. Once satisfied with her position, he gave her a hard, but scared look. He was frightened. The wave was terrifying, but he wasn't going to let that make him a bubbling mess. No. He was going to grow from it and become even stronger.
He made his way back over to a small ginger dot that was still struggling. He saw Addy laying on the beach, her chest barely lifting its-self up for another puff of air. He tutted down at her. How pathetic. She was an adult and he was a mere pup- he stopped himself in his thoughts and cursed. He was barely living a few moments ago and his body still shook. He begged for it to stop this parade of weakness, but it did not. He bent down to the older female's ear and nibbed at it, hoping that the small needle of pain would jolt her awake. “Aderyn, wake up.” He barked harshly, waiting for her to open her eyes once again. “If we pups can awaken from that nightmare, so can you.” He snorted. “Get up!”

Re: The Forgotten Island
He felt warm. He wasn’t able to open his eyes, but he knew there was no hurry to. He felt safe in this warmth, slightly uncomfortable, but he knew he was safe and alive. He heard voices in the background, or was it in the back of his mind? He had no idea where he was, or what had happened, or whoever was keeping him warm. All he could remember was that he had been swept away by a storm, causing him to almost drown. Or had he already drowned, and was this warmth he was feeling an illusion, a place in heaven? Opening his amber eyes slightly, the black coated wolf glanced around him, dazed, exhausted, his body filled with pain. What was this? Brown fur? Tilting his head a bit to the side he saw something fluffy and light brown, he forced his eyes to open up more. Next to him laid Jeamesero, the Hudson Bay wolf who had joined the Guild not too long ago. What was he doing? Was he the one keeping him warm? Or was he passed out just like Mikazaru, and kept warm by someone else? He couldn’t say a word. His eyes were almost fully open now, but there came no words out of his mouth. Jeamesero looked down at him, their eyes meeting. He saw his jaws forming words, but the black male didn’t hear what he was saying. The male got up and walked off, leaving the black wolf in the cold. Why did he leave him? Where did he go? Now he was all alone again. But that didn’t really matter to Mikazaru. He was alive, he would survive. The cold wouldn’t take him down. Jeamesero realized Damian had gotten up. He wondered if he should keep the child with him, safe and sound, warm. But once he looked around he saw Dakota and realized the kid was looking out for his sibling. So the male let him go. Dakota seemed cold as well, Jeamesero wanted to help them. But he first had to wake up Mikazaru, as the male was still passed out, or asleep, Jeamesero didn’t know what was going on with the poor black ‘sheep’ lying beside him. He felt something move beside him and looked down to see Mikazaru awake, looking up at him. Jeamesero gave him a short weak smile and said: ‘’You’re awake, I see? Good. I will go and see if the pups are already. They might need warmth as well. You can manage without me, right? I mean, you’ve waked up, finally.’’ After those words the Hudson Bay wolf slowly got to his feet. He left the black male, seeing him curl up on the cold wet sand of the beach. He felt bad for leaving the male, but the pups needed help as well. He turned around, leaving the wolf to check on the pups. There he saw the two were curled up, keeping each other warm. They were still shivering, but it seemed less bad than before. Jeamesero laid down next to the two and turned his head so his whole body was wrapped around the two kids. ‘’Dakota, we need to get up and stay alive.’’, was the first thing he heard from Damian’s mouth, like he wasn’t even there to keep them safe. Jeamesero didn’t care though, once the pup got up and went into the direction of a female laying on the beach (probably Aderyn). He tilted his head and looked at Damian. ‘’If you need warmth or anything else, don’t hesitate and come to me.’’, was all the Hudson Bay wolf said. He lowered his head again, keeping Dakota warm. He didn’t bother if Dakota would follow Damian or not. He was glad he could have done at least something, even if it hadn’t taken long. Re: The Forgotten Island
“Kill me? I think not dear sister.”
She let out a little chuckle at his words, “We'll just see about that then, brother. You're bound to do something that will annoy me sooner or later” A lazy smirk appeared on her face, as she closed her eyes just for a second she reasoned with herself. Though, her head was stinging and closing her eyes relaxed her a little from the pain. Curling up with Damian certainly helped as well- not that she'd tell him. But realistically speaking, she didn't need to. They knew each other well. They didn't need to say anything half the time. Twin telepathy really seemed to exist with these two.
“Dakota, we need to get up and stay alive.”
She felt like groaning at her brother to bugger off, but stay at the same time. She knew that he was right, she just didn't want to admit it. Still, when she felt him pushing his nose under her stomach, her eyes opened slowly and a sigh escaped her lips. She stood up straight to appear stronger than what she felt, though her paws did buckle a little at first and the world swayed. She closed her eyes for a moment to steady herself and fell against something.
At first she thought it was Damian in her moment of dizziness, but then realised she could hear him calling out for Aderyn to wake up. So if she wasn't leaning against her brother, who was she leaning against? Snapping her eyes open, she staggered back from Jeamesero that had spent a moment to keep them warm. She would've growled at the wolf if she hadn't stumbled over herself for a moment. Still, her fiery eyes narrowed on him and she glared with her usual intolerance, “What do you want?”
‘If you need warmth or anything else, don’t hesitate and come to me.’
Dakota scoffed and relaxed a little bit, “Don't bet on us taking you up on that offer...but I guess it was decent of you to ask-” Dakota realised that her words may sound like she was sort of grateful to the offer and so she quickly corrected herself, “Not that I care. But yeah, whatever. Thanks” She rolled her eyes and played off her words with nonchalance, “Don't expect another thank you from me. This was a one time deal” She may have been in pain and sick, but she wasn't going to let just anyone see her weakened side.
Standing up straight she gave a look at the white wolf before padding off across the beach. Her feet sunk into the wet sand which made it more difficult to walk quickly, but she still managed it. Passing Mikazaru she stopped and gave him a little push, “Sitting on your butt? Come on Elk Magnet, we need to focus on getting better rather than sitting here” She gave him her trakemark Dakota smirk before moving her eyes over to Damian and Aderyn. For a moment her head throbbed in pain and she let out a little whine. But she ignored it, forcing herself to push it away. She didn't want Mikazuru asking what was wrong or anyone fumbling over her so she said nothing. She just wanted to get dry and warm.
With a little shiver she headed over to Aderyn. Dakota didn't waste any time in words. She simply padded over and hit Addy over the snout with her paw. She didn't care if it seemed harsh or not, at least she was trying to wake her up rather than leaving everyone behind.
“Wake up, Aderyn.” Dakota said sternly into her ear, “There are wolves here waiting for you. Don't make them wait in the cold and wet as you take your bloody time” Another shiver trailed down the pups body and she stepped closer to her brother waiting impatiently.
